Ci-RES present at the 75th anniversary of the United Nations

The University of La Rioja is organizing a round table on 'Integration of refugees in higher education on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m

Professor Naouel Abdellatif Mami, Coordinator of the Ci-RES project will intervene on behalf of the Ci-RES consortium to present the project "Creation of Institutional Capacities for the Integration of Refugees in Higher Education" and its relevance in the current context on integration of refugees.

As a reminder, the Ci-RES project aims to create institutional capacities for the integration of refugees in Algerian higher education (University - University & University - Society Cooperation). CI-RES are considered to be a pilot experience which proposes, on one hand, the reorganization of the organic and functional structure of higher education establishments that are partners in the project in order to respond to the current problems of effective integration of refugees within the establishments of higher education, and on the other hand the development of normative and institutional mechanisms promoting the integration of this category into higher education.

Information about the round table:

The speeches will be 15 minutes maximum, divided into two blocks. First of all, people living in refugee situations on the front line will take the floor, and we will open a question-and-answer session:

  • D. Bassel Jazmati

  • Ms Alba Díez Arrea

  • Ms Isabel Manzanos

The second block of interventions corresponds to people who directly manage educational programs or experiences aimed at facilitating the integration of refugees into higher education, and we will open a second round of questions that can be asked by the public or table  members:

  • Ms Margarita Alfaro

  • Ms Min Zhang

  • Mrs Naouel Abdellatif

The round table will be interpreted in French. To do this, we will use the Zoom video conferencing platform, and you will receive an email with the invitation to register and a password, which you will need to keep. I also attach some technical recommendations for using the Zoom tool as well as some simple instructions to be able to listen to the interpretation.
