





The university of Geneva organises an international Master on "Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Higher Education in Emergencies: Contexts, Experiences and Lessons Learned"
In this Master Ci-RES is used as a case study and good practice of integration of refugees thanks to tge creation of institutional measues including digital learning.
This introductory module of the CAS in Digital Learning in Emergencies programme explores the key concepts and familiarizes students with distance education in the contexts of emergencies. It also engages students in the dialogues of different issues, challenges, opportunities and discourses of distance teaching and learning during emergencies.
Ci-RES is taught as a module entitled:
"Educational inclusion of refugees using digital learning : Ci-RES Project as an example"
This module introduces the students to the notion of educational inclusion of refugess using digital learning. It will focus on a concrete case study, namely the Ci-RES project (www.ciresproject.eu) which investigates the creation of institutional capacities for the integration of refugees in Higher Education. The main objective of this course is to experience digital learning using the MOOC platform for educational inclusion of this vulnerable population of students. The module offers insights about the refugees’ definitions, crisis and approaches of integration as well as digital learning as an effective way of educational inclusion and education form.
